Precision Assessment

The first assessment of the precision of SizeYou has been published in 2022 by Padua University – biomedics department – Prof. Paoli – available in Reasarchgate. “The aim of this study was to compare the waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) acquired by a downloadable application with that measured with a flexible tape at the same anatomic sites.

Results: Regarding the regression analysis between the manual approach and the digital-derived WHR, the methods were highly correlated (r2=0.85; p<0.01; SEE=0.02). We observed 95% limits of agreement considered acceptable (from -0.03 to 0.06).


Conclusions: the anthropometric estimates provided by the SizeYou application are precise and accurate, and allow to obtain a WHR index comparable to that obtained by manual anthropometry. This digital method offers a rapid alternative to manual measurements for assessing health-related anthropometric parameters.”
